How We’re Supporting Ronald McDonald House in 2023

As is the tradition here at 210 Financial, we are passionate about integrating generosity into our business culture and as a part of our financial plan. Each year, we select a new charity for our team and clients to support through giving and volunteering. This year, our selected charity is Ronald McDonald House Charities® in Peoria!

We are so excited to partner with this amazing organization to provide comfort, care, and kindness to Peoria families when it matters most. Throughout this year, there will be several volunteer opportunities our staff and clients will be able to participate in, as well as opportunities to give. Last year, our amazing clients helped us raise over $12,000 for Peoria Rescue Ministries. We are confident you will help us do the same for the Peoria Ronald McDonald House this year!

Katie Alsup, Community Engagement & Development Coordinator at the Ronald McDonald House, told us, “Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois provides a supportive place for families to stay while their child is receiving medical care and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. The House collaborates with numerous generous organizations and individuals in an effort to care and support our families in their time of need. Our amazing partnerships help in a multitude of ways, which includes providing meals, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items as well as donating toys and offering services like comfort dogs. Without their generosity and continued support, our mission would not be complete. We are thankful for all of past, current, and future partners to continue our mission in serving families when they need it most.”

What Does the Ronald McDonald House in Peoria Do?

Ronald McDonald House Charities® provides programs to support the well-being of children and provides a home away from home for families with children receiving medical care. Ronald McDonald House Charities® originally started in 1974 in Philadelphia. Today, there are more than 300 houses in 30 countries around the world, including the Springfield, IL and Peoria, IL houses.

The Peoria Ronald McDonald House opened in December 2019 with a total of 22 mini-suites available. It serves families with children receiving care at any area medical facility, including OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois and UnityPoint Health. The average stay with the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois is 13 days and they served 232 families in 2020.

Help Us Incorporate Generosity in 2023

In addition to volunteering at the Peoria Ronald McDonald House, we will be hosting several events and fundraisers throughout the year. If you are a client of 210 Financial, we are bringing back our annual Pumpkin Pie Drive in November where we will match every donation given.
